Amazing Spider-Man #33
WRITER:  J. Michael Straczynski
PENCILLER:  John Romita Jr.
COVER BY: J. Scott Campbell & Townsend
INKER:  Scott Hanna
STORY TITLE: All Fall Down
REVIEW:
This is undoubtedly the most exciting man-to-man combat I've seen in years between Spider-Man and one of his enemies (i.e. the super-villain known as Morlun). Giving it all he's got, Spider-Man tries to take down his opponent but the latter barely budges as Spidey throws blow after blow in his direction. A beautiful spread-page of the battle drawn by fan-favorite John Romita Jr clearly displays the intensity of the combat between the two foes; and especially how Spider-Man tries to stay alive throughout the ordeal - even when escaping through the rooftops, and switching to his civilian clothing. (Note: Apparently, Morlun has some sort of connection with Spider-Man and now that he's found him, Spidey will never be able to hide from him). The battle continues until Spider-Man succeeds into retreating...seeking help...from Ezekiel.

This story is just incredible. We are finally getting somewhere with this thing. We've seen combats in the past where Spider-Man had a hard time beating his opponents but never like this. J. Micheal Straczynski is still the best at what he does and John Romita Jr has never been better. I can’t barely wait for the next monthly issue to come out. Let's hope Marvel keeps this over-the-top creative team together for a long time to come.
