NAME: MAXWELL "MAX" DILLON (A.K.A ELECTRO) AGE: MID-30's EYE COLOR: BLUE HAIR COLOR: RED-BROWN HEIGHT: 5'11" WEIGHT: ~165 LBS RELATIVES: ANITA (MOTHER, DECEASED), JONATHAN (FATHER, DECEASED), NORMA LYNN (EX-WIFE, UNKNOWN WHEREABOUTS by Sal Buscema HISTORY: Born and raised in Endicott, New York, Max Dillon had a rather difficult childhood. His family was constantly on the move because his father, Jonathan Dillon, had trouble keeping a steady job due to a recurrent explosive temperament. Blaming them for his failures, Jonathan abandoned the family shortly before Max turned nine years old. Max's mother, Anita, constantly sheltered him and tried to keep him safe from any disappointment. She event went as far as discouraging him to pursue studies in the field of electrical engineering and succeeded when he finally settled for a linesman job instead. One day, while repairing a pair of damaged electrical lines, lightning struck a nearby electrical pole, electrocuting Max on the spot. Somehow he survived the ordeal, amazingly gaining the ability to generate electrostatic energy in awesome quantities. Instead of using his newfound powers for the good of men, Max decided to use it to make his fortune the old-fashioned way; by assuming a costumed identity and stealing it. Hence, mere seconds sufficed to transform Maxwell Dillon into Electro, the master of electricity. Electro can consciously control the amount of electricity he discharges, unleashing anything from a single volt to his full 100,000-volt reserve. He uses his energy in many different fashions. He can discharge electricity from his fingertips in the form of small lightning bolts or he can send an electrical jolt traveling along the ground or through any conductive metal nearby. He can also generate an electrical field that surrounds him and shields him from harm. He can also travel through the air, riding upon a wave of electrical energy. Electro was last seen in the "Return of the Sinister Six" 2-part Crossover in Amazing Spider-Man Volume II, #17 and Peter Parker: Spider-Man Volume II, #12. He was severely beaten by Venom and was apparently left to die. Not much is known about whether he survived or not. |
