Back in Asgard, the Enchantress is formulating a plan to get herself new minions and she's decided to go with heroes, as opposed to villains. After careful consideration, she chooses Hellcat, Marvel Girl, the Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk and Clea, Dr. Strange's sorceress girlfriend. One of the Enchantress' minions asks how she intends to recruit these women, as they’re heroes. The Enchantress replies that she plans to brainwash them first, then utilize a magical concoction of hers that'll seep into their brains and cause a more permanent state of mind control. She bottles up the magical potion into bottles of "L'Enchantresse Shampoo", which is how she plans to pull off her brainwashing scheme and subsequent recruitment.
Mary Jane and her model friends Millie and Patsy Walker (a.k.a. Hellcat) are just enjoying each other's company and chatting about their recent modelling gig. MJ and Millie are doing most of the talking, while Patsy sits silently in a chair staring at a magazine. When MJ finally asks Patsy what she is staring at, Patsy replies that she wants "L'Enchantresse Shampoo". MJ and Millie try to snap her out of her zombie-like state but to no avail. At the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, Marvel Girl receives a free sample of the same shampoo. Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk also receives hers. And so do Clea and the Scarlet Witch. Back at the apartment, Patsy also receives her free sample and she decides to try it immediately; she hops in the shower. The same thing happens with She-Hulk, the Scarlet Witch and Marvel Girl. Clea, however, has figured that it must be a trap so she decides to use her magical powers to trace the shampoo back to its sender. In so doing, she discovers that there are other victims and decides to use her powers to bring them all to her place to see what is going on.
Mary Jane and Millie decide to check on Patsy, who's been in the bathroom for quite a while. They open the door, only to discover that Patsy is nowhere to be found and that there is a large summoning portal in the middle of the bathroom. Courageously, MJ drags Millie with her and goes through the portal, which then collapses on itself.
When MJ and Millie exit the portal at the other end, they are surprised to see Clea, She-Hulk, the Scarlet Witch, Marvel Girl and finally their friend Patsy Walker. After all-around introductions, Patsy explains that she and the other super-powered girls are going out to find the one responsible for the brainwashing scheme. She asks Clea if she can transport MJ and Millie back home. MJ and Millie refuse to leave, as they feel they are as part of this as anybody else; nobody disagrees with them. Using her sorceress powers, Clea homes in on the magic from the shampoo, which should allow her to open a gate back to the source. The process takes but a few seconds and the seven women find themselves in Asgard, a few miles from the Enchantress' home. MJ suggests they get off the main road to the castle and move through the woods so as to be less visible. The others agree and so they begin their journey into the woods.
They are there no more than for a few minutes when a giant Troll appears and immediately attacks them. Combining their individual powers, the super-heroines manage to brainwash the Troll into returning to its master. The Troll makes its way to the Enchantress' castle and crashes into a wall, providing a means for the girls to enter the castle. Unfortunately for them, the Enchantress is there to counter their attack. Amazingly powerful, she easily gains advantage on her opponents. MJ and Millie, hiding behind an overturned desk, ponder what they could do to stop the Enchantress. Perusing through some of the parchments lying on the ground around her, all MJ can find are pages about Thor. Just then, Clea is sent crashing to the ground not far from them. She tells MJ and Millie that she has to get back in there and do something. MJ tells her to wait. Hellcat (i.e. Patsy) is doing her best to try and get through the Enchantress' shield, but to no avail. Suddenly, lightning strikes right next to the Enchantress; the Mighty Thor has arrived, summoned by Clea. Thor speaks strangely, more so than usual, and the Enchantress starts to figure out that this Thor is an impostor. Before she can do anything about it, She-Hulk sucker-punches her and Clea uses magical restraints to detain her. It is then revealed that Thor was actually Millie in (magical) disguise, courtesy of Clea. As the women celebrate their victory, Fandral the Very Dashing of the Asgardian police shows up to haul the Enchantress to jail.
Clea creates a new portal, allowing all the powered and non-powered women to return home. MJ, Patsy and Millie enjoy dinner together and cannot help but suppress a laugh at the thought of Millie as Thor.
The end.

REVIEW:
This humorous story opens with Spider-Man punching Modok and breaking his hover-chair. Modok is angry because he's the keynote speaker at Doctor Doom's banquet, later that evening and complains that he cannot go without his chair. Feeling kind of bad for his nemesis, Spidey tells Modok that he'll buy him a new chair and points to a nearby U-KEA furniture store, which he suggests they go check out. They enter the store and are greeted by the Hulk, obviously a nod to the Wal-Mart greeters. They start looking around for a suitable chair for Modok. Spidey thinks he's located a rocket chair, but it turns out that he misread it and it's a rocking chair. He then finds a nice lazy-boy type chair but Modok complains that he needs a chair fit for war, not naps. Just then, a nearby couple shopping in the store point toward Modok, thinking he is some kind of end table. The husband thinks the table is hideous but does like that it has plenty of room for snacks when he and his buddies watch football. He wonders how much it is. Ticked off, Modok tells Spidey he's leaving and tells him to just grab any chair so they can get the heck out of there.
Later that night, Modok opens the ceremony for Doctor Doom's banquet, sitting in a pink-coloured chair with cartoon characters printed all over it and hovering above the ground thanks to small rockets bolted to its sides. Needless to say, the other villains have a good laugh.

REVIEW:
In a building somewhere in the Bronx, shady deals are taking place. A vendor is selling genuine high-powered weapons confiscated from super-powered criminals such as the Shocker, the Melter and the Living Laser. One of the many interested costumers is questioning the legitimacy of the armaments so the vendor suggests that one of them sample one of the weapons. The testing proves successful but before any of the interested parties can make a purchase, Spider-Man drops in on them. Within a few seconds, he has most of the men captured and/or on the run. One of the remaining men standing up is not afraid of Spidey, claiming to have something to counter his spider-like powers. He presses on something underneath his shirt and finds himself several feet up in the air, courtesy of Stilt-Man's hydraulic stilt-legs. Unfortunately for the miscreant, he has no idea what to do once he's up in the air; he therefore remains stuck there.
Minutes later, the police arrive and take the lawbreakers into custody, while Spidey watches from a nearby rooftop. Spidey is accompanied by his informant Malcolm, who was the one that told him about the deal going down that night and who was also there when Spidey came crashing down on the gang. Malcolm claims he didn't know they were going to be dealing super-villain's weapons; he thought for sure it was a simple "cut and dry" gun deal. Spidey believes Malcolm and asks if he knows who the seller was. Malcolm unfortunately has no idea. Had he known there were going to be weapons like that, he never would have gotten involved in the first place. Spidey asks Malcolm if he can find out when the next deal is going to take place. Malcolm initially refuses to give him more information but changes his mind and tells Spidey what he wants to hear. The man he's looking for is named Jamal and he can be found in Harlem. Jamal is supposedly the man with the answers.
In Harlem, Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon is coincidently questioning the same Jamal, asking him if he recognizes some sort of small metal disks that Boomerang is known to use as weapons. Jamal responds that he has no idea what they are but Sam has a feeling Jamal is lying to him. Sam issues an ultimatum to Jamal; either he tells him right there and then what he wants to know, or Sam is going to beat the answers out of him – it's Jamal's call. Before Jamal can answer Sam, he is snagged with webbing and hoisted up to the rooftop of the adjacent building. Sam races up the emergency stairs and onto the roof where he finds Spider-Man with Jamal in his clutches. Spidey tells Sam that he needs Jamal to tell him about the trafficking of advanced weaponry he's involved in. It turns out that Sam is also after the same information. Sam once again tries to convince Jamal into spilling the beans but Jamal simply stays silent and pulls back the sleeve of his shirt, revealing a Hydra tattoo. This was not something either Spidey or Sam expected.
A short time later, at one of Sam Wilson's safe houses, Spidey and Sam argue over the deepness of Jamal's involvement with Hydra. Spidey believes Jamal was forced to join them, as he revealed a lot of information when he and Sam made him think they weren't going to keep him safe. Sam argues that he should have left Jamal to be handled by Hydra, as he's lost another safe house, which is one less than he has available when someone worth saving needs help. The discussion over, Spidey climbs through the window and crawls up the outside all of the building. Sam calls out to him, telling him he's coming with him.
A short time later, Spidey, Sam and Sam's Falcon Redwing have broken into the apartment of the advanced weaponry vendor. As the vendor is absent, they decide to wait for him to show up. Time passes when the vendor finally returns home. The vendor steps inside his apartment and as soon as he's closed the door behind him, Spidey snags him with a web-line and wraps him all up real tight, including webbing his mouth shut, and hangs him upside down from the ceiling. Talking to the vendor, Sam offers him a choice: he speaks there and then or else. Spidey rips the webbing off the vendor's mouth. Arrogantly, the vendor starts hailing for Hydra. Sam delivers a punch that nearly decapitates the vendor. Spidey is not too fond of Sam's method, making reference to the bill of rights. Sam agrees to stop but calls for Redwing to make the vendor talk. Spidey doesn't like it any better but by the time he and Sam are done arguing, the vendor is ready to talk.
A while later, after a change of clothing for Sam, Spidey and the Falcon make their way into a seemingly abandoned facility – in fact, a former base of operations for Hydra, which seems to have now been revived. Trying to disarm an alarm sensor, Spidey accidentally trips said alarm, which turns out to be a motion sensor. A fraction of second later, Spidey and the Falcon are under siege by Hydra agents. Making good use of their respective abilities, Spidey and Falcon steadily advance through various security points, finally reaching some kind of laboratory. Hydra agents equipped with weaponry stolen from other super-villains attack Spidey and the Falcon but the heroic duo easily defeats their opponents. The head of the laboratory is apprehended by Falcon using rubber bullets. Turns out that Hydra has their own forensic team doing crime scene analysis and using the findings to unmask super-villains. Falcon thinks the super-villains were an unexpected bonus. He believes they were looking to unmask heroes. The head researcher tells Falcon that he just does what he's told to do but neither Falcon nor Spidey believe one word is saying. Falcon asks Spidey if he knows how to wipe out information on a computer. Spidey replies that he does and gets to work.
Later, the police show up to arrest the captured Hydra agents, thanks to an anonymous tip (courtesy of Spidey and Falcon). On a nearby rooftop, Falcon and Spidey exchange some witty banter and subsequently part ways, each going back home. It is evident the two of them enjoyed working together.
Epilogue: A group of youngsters are playing baseball in the street when the ball is accidentally hit in a dark alley and falls through the broken window of the basement of an unidentified building. One of the youngsters climbs down through the broken window to retrieve the ball. When he ventures through the basement, he is stunned to find a Goblin glider sitting on a table in the middle of one of the rooms.

REVIEW:
The story opens with Spider-Man meeting with J. Jonah Jameson to receive his bundle of newspapers for his paper route. Jonah rhetorically asks Spidey if he can handle his route. Spidey replies that he used to handle more than that before half of his paper route was taken away for no reason. Jonah tells Spidey that he doesn't like his attitude and instructs him to stop by his office upon completing his delivery for route reassignment. Needless to say, Spidey is not happy.
At the Osborn residence, Green Goblin Sr. and Green Goblin Jr. are awaiting the arrival of their paper, to be delivered by Spidey. Green Goblin Sr. tells his son that when Spidey swings in to deliver the paper, he's going to throw a pumpkin bomb at him and then he – the son – can charge at him on his glider. They patiently await Spidey's arrival. Finally, after a few minutes, they see a shadowy figure that looks like Spidey swing down from a web-line. As planned, Green Goblin Sr. throws a pumpkin bomb at Spidey while Green Goblin Jr. charges at him on his glider. When Green Goblin Jr. reaches what he thought to be Spidey, he is stunned to see that it is in fact Venom, and not Spidey. Quicker than his attacker, Venom grabs hold of Green Goblin Jr. and pulls him off his glider, telling him that he's going to eat his brains. Green Goblin Jr. calls out to his dad, telling him that he doesn't think it is Spidey. Arguing that it is Spidey and that he's simply wearing his black suit, Green Goblin Sr. jumps on his glider and flies toward his son and Venom, telling the latter to release his son. Venom releases Green Goblin Jr. but sends him crashing into his father as he does so. Knocked to the ground, Green Goblin Jr. reiterates to his father that he doesn't think it is Spidey. Green Goblin Sr. retorts that it is and that he's wearing his black suit. Green Goblin Sr. helps his son back up on his feet and the twosome start throwing pumpkin bombs after pumpkin bombs at Venom. Green Goblin Sr. believes he's gotten rid of Spidey when Green Goblin Jr. points out that he's still alive and that it is not Spidey. Case in point, the Venom symbiote is no longer covering Eddie Brock's face, essentially revealing that it is not Spidey, just like Green Goblin Jr. said. Eddie introduces himself to the goblins and informs them that he's their new paperboy, having taken half of Spider-Man's paper route. Green Goblin Sr. apologizes to Venom and asks for his newspaper. Unfortunately, the paper was incinerated by the pumpkin bombs. Green Goblin Sr. is angry at Brock, who argues that it wasn't his fault. He tells Brock not to ever return or they'll destroy him. Venom swings off, hoping that J. Jonah Jameson's route reassignment will get the goblins off his route.
A short time later, Venom and Spidey meet with J. Jonah Jameson at the Daily Bugle for their route reassignment. Though Jameson recently gave Venom half of Spidey's route, he's decided to give those costumers back to Spidey. Venom is furious, claiming Spidey whined to get his entire route back. Jameson tells Venom to relax and then explains the reason for him losing the customers to Spidey. Let's just say Brock doesn't disagree with Jameson once it is explained to him. Jameson goes on explaining that neither of them is going to lose any customers. In fact, they are going to both gain customers, as a result of a new housing development that was recently constructed. Not only will they get larger paper routes, they will also make more money. There is, however, one drawback to the plan. There is an odd number of houses in the neighbourhood, which means one of them will get an additional customer. Jameson wants them to partake in a competition to determine who is going to be delivering the paper to that extra house. Spidey asks which customer they are competing for. Jameson responds that they are fighting over Norman Osborn, a.k.a. Green Goblin Sr. Having said that, he tells the boys to follow him down to the Daily Bugle paperboy training facilities. In said facility, other heroes are training to become paperboys and papergirls. Speaking through a bullhorn, Jameson tells the rookies that Spidey and Venom are going to run the obstacle course head to head and the winner will have a new customer added to his route. All the other heroes are excited and their excitement is amplified when the Rocket Racer explains the reason for such animosity between Venom and Spidey. Jameson gives the signal for the race to start but neither Spidey nor Venom dare make a move. Jameson yells at them to go. Venom pushes Spidey forward, telling him to go on as instructed by Jameson. Spidey pushes him back. Jameson calls out to them, telling them they are conducting themselves in a very unsportsmanlike conduct that doesn't go without penalty. He tells them that each time they obstruct or interfere with each other's performance, ten seconds will be added to their final time. Spidey and Venom briefly look at each other and seconds later, they are fighting each other. Fed up with their antics, Jameson tells them that he’s going to decide who is going to be delivering the paper to Osborn.
The next day, Green Goblin Sr. and his son are readying themselves for the arrival of their paper, to be delivered by Venom. Green Goblin Sr. tells his son that he's going to let him throw the first pumpkin bomb. Green Goblin Jr. throws the pumpkin bomb when he thinks he's seen Venom but it turns out to be Spidey swinging in, not Venom. Green Goblin Sr. says that Venom is supposed to be their paperboy, not Spidey, but the latter informs him that there's been another change and he webs Green Goblin Jr. up. Just then, Venom shows up and kicks Green Goblin Sr. in the back, sending him crashing to the ground. Before Green Goblin Sr. can retaliate, Spidey kicks him in the face. Green Goblin Sr. asks why they are attacking him and they reveal that they've both been assigned to deliver the paper at their house so as to not get killed. Spidey and Venom web up Green Goblin Sr. and hand him his newspaper. The duo then swings away.
The end.
