REVIEW:
The diagnosis is in, and it's bad news for Peter Parker. There were warning signs: In recent weeks, Spider-Man has been weaker and slower than usual, his powers even completely failing him at key moments. And when a super-villain calling himself The Tracer arrived to cause mayhem, Spider-Man was nearly killed in his attempt to capture him. The wall-crawler's battle wounds brought him to Doctor Castillo, who discovered that there is, in fact, something terribly wrong with him – something that modern medicine can't even begin to comprehend, let alone cure. All indications point to one thing: Peter's condition is terminal.

When Peter's loved ones learn of the danger, they urge him to contact his super-powered friends whose resources in medicine, magic, and technology might hold the solution to Peter's affliction. But no matter where Peter goes or who he sees, the conclusion is always the same: there is no cure. Now, Spider-Man is faced with a choice – should he keep fighting a battle he can’t hope to win or cherish his last moments on Earth with his loved ones?

ACT 1: Despite the apparent demise of their leader, Doctor Doom, Latverians are respectable of the city's imposed curfew, fearing that Doom might not be dead after all. Soon, the streets are empty. On cue, Spider-Man emerges from thick bushes, accompanied by two Iron Men, whose armors are occupied by none other than Mary Jane and Aunt May! The threesome make their way to the castle where Spidey is forced to climb the outer wall of the castle to make his way inside, as the doors are guarded by Doom-bots. After getting rid of the Doom-bots, he opens the front door for MJ and Aunt May.

ACT 2: The three of them make their way through the castle to a laboratory hidden several floors down, where they find the only operational time machine known to man. Spidey helps them take out the armors they're wearing, and then he activates the time machine, which transports the three of them several years back, where they witness the moment when Peter's parents left him with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, which would be the last time he ever saw them alive. Upset, Peter (from the future) runs after them to try and stop them from leaving, since he knows they are heading to their doom but, as he's not quite phased into this timeline, he cannot change anything that would affect the future, meaning their present. MJ comes over and talks with him and the two eventually go back inside the house, where they find Aunt May enjoying watching her younger self and a younger Ben interact with a younger Peter. Peter (gently) interrupts his aunt's moment and the three of them head back to the present.

ACT 3: As they materialize back in the present, they find themselves surrounded by four Doom-bots, who seem to only recognize Spidey as a threat. Spidey instructs Aunt May and MJ to stay still and he engages the robots. Only minutes into the fight, Spidey realizes that he cannot beat that many robots. To make matters worse, he starts to feel searing pain in his gut, the result of his "condition". The Doom-bots are about to take his life when MJ, inside one of the Iron Men armors, takes them down, one after the other. Taking her helmet off, MJ kneels down next to Peter and checks up on him.

ACT 4: A short time later, back at Stark Tower, headquarter of the New Avengers, Spidey drops the two Iron Man armors back to their owner, Tony Stark. Tony asks him what his plans are now and Spidey replies that he always wanted to visit Las Vegas. Tony offers to make arrangements for him to go there but Spidey soon realizes that he'd probably get thrown out of the casino for cheating – by making use of his spider-sense to play blackjack – or, with his luck, some super-villains would choose that exact time to try and rob the casino. Tony replies that he has another idea for a perfect getaway.

ACT 5: Morlun is standing on the rooftop of a building and claims that the time has come for him to feast. He heads to the Daily Bugle and makes his way across the newsroom unseen, then he heads to Stark Tower, and does the same there. He cannot find Peter and wonders where on Earth he could be.

ACT 6: Thousands of miles above the Earth's surface, in a space-pod belonging to Tony Stark, Peter and Mary Jane are enjoying the view of the Earth in all its glory. But reality soon sets in and MJ starts to cry. Back on Earth, Aunt May does the same as the stares out the window.
