This is a standalone fully painted issue that does not interfere with the other ongoing storylines.

ACT 1: The story starts with various individuals, both known and unknown, discussing Spider-Man. The story quickly switches to a crippled young boy named Joey Beal, who spends his days on the rooftop of the apartment building where he resides, looking out at the New York City skies. Joey was born with cerebral palsy, which left him unable to walk or talk. Hence, he is confined to a wheelchair. His dad and older sister take turns looking after him and Joey, unable to express his gratitude, is nonetheless grateful to have them by his side, sacrificing so much for him. One day, as Joey Beal is watching the city, Spider-Man swings by, seemingly looking for something. Joey wishes he could call out to him to come back but it is no use. Spider-Man gone, Joey wonders what the wall-crawler was doing in his neck of the woods. That's when he takes notice of some kind of creature, hiding in the old disused apartment building across the street from him. At that moment, Joey's father arrives and brings Joey back into the apartment. Joey’s dad and sister bathe him and put him to bed, taking care of strapping him in so he does not hurt himself; all under the careful eye of the creature hiding in the apartment across the street from them.

ACT 2: Once again, Joey spends the next day on the rooftop of his apartment. This time, however, the creature makes its presence felt and attacks the helpless Joey. The creature is revealed to be Morbius, the Living Vampire. As Morbius prepares to take Joey's life, Spider-Man arrives on the scene and starts beating the living hell out of the vampire. The web-slinger quickly defeats Morbius to the satisfaction of Joey, a devoted Spider-Man fan, as mentioned earlier. Spider-Man sits down next to Joey and starts talking to him (It should be worth mentioning that Spidey used Joey as bait to attract Morbius out of hiding). Then, as our hero prepares to leave, he turns around and takes off his mask to reveal his face to Joey. Once Spider-Man is gone, Joey's thoughts reveal to us that by simply seeing Spider-Man's face, he felt all the sadness he has to carry with him. A few minutes later, Joey's dad arrives and takes Joey back into the apartment.
