Prologue

After the orbital defense system Skynet was destroyed in 1994 by an unknown force, Cyberdine systems was able to rebuild the orbiting platform. A little behind it's original release schedule-which was set for early 1997-it is now ready to go online. But something lacks in the design. Something unknown. Acting head of Cyberdine Systems -Janice Hopper- has to go through proper channels with Congress, the D.O.D. (Department of Defense), and grants from the President.

2047. The Terminators were not destroyed completely. They were not ended. Only postponed. It started when Skynet was linked with the conscious mind of a man on December 28, 1999. Now the war between the flesh and the machines rages on. The human resistance force's commander in chief -John Conner- watches from a safe distance from the battle field. This battle is the last one. It's getting close for Skynet.

A lone warrior, a crusader, a man who has been playing possom for three years now, has finally been able to get into an abandoned factory. A terminator building factory and Time Displacement unit Storage facility -in one. He has been able to make the Time Displacement unit work. But he hasn't got much time now, it won't be long until Skynet pinpoints him and destroys him where he stands.

Quickly now, shed your clothes like a snake would dead skin. He programs the time of December 24, 1999. Should be sufficent time to end it. To put an end to and Freak of nature. Possibly one of the first designs Cyberdine Systems bought from a conglomerate coorperation known as OCP (Omni Consumer Products). A company that produced everything from news computer technology to the first cyborg to new food concepts. The company cursed everything it touched. Even the brain of the man who was merged with software and hardware to become what was known as RoboCop, Crime Provention Unit.

Detroit, Michigan. December 24, 1999. It has been 13 years since Alex James Murphy was laid to rest, but that does not matter. "The way is forward." Anne Lewis had said. But now, she is dead. So many things have happened in the last 13 years. Revenge of his death was the first, the death of his partner, OCP stock crashing, His program updated, and now Detroit has finally started to calm down. Becoming the city that it should be; Quiet and clean. Crime is down. Burglary is down 89%, murder is down 78%. Project RoboCop has reached it's climax.

This has gotten Murphy worried. He will most likely get moved to another city by the government that bought him and his program and files when OCP went belly up and had to sell it's stock. What was left of it anyway.

It's late, Metro West is quiet. Christmas Eve. Every cop not on "Santa's Shift" is at home setting presents out for their children, or just getting drunk at the local bars. The ones that stay open 24 hours, holidays too. Murphy is content with the quietness. Most of the lights are turned off. The only signs of life in the whole precinct are Louise, the night clerk and phone receptionist and Marie Lazarus, Murphy's friend and doctor. Murphy walks to the front door of the precinct and puts his hands on the glass. He looks out at the Christmas lights and the snow.

John pulls the car into an old Detroit Motor Lodge. It's time to rest up for the night. Got to spend Christmas Eve in a nice warm bed instead of taking turns sleeping in the back seat of a Chevy station wagon that's as busted up as an old Mr Coffee.
