~Choose Love~

We sometimes look for love, it seems,
To fill a fantasy
Or perhaps our dreams.
We look for love in places where
It's hopeless and we feel dispair,
But in deep dispair
You will still have
All of your true friends;
The healing salve.
We hold our hands out to our friend
Perhaps to guide or love to send.
We say to test love's waters first,
Fight back the need,
Fight back the thirst
To see if love is really there
And save the heartache and dispair.
