It came from out of the blue.
It was the last thing I was expecting,
especially coming from you.
I held you tight in my arms,
keeping you safe from any kind of harm.
I sat here and wondered was it just a dream.
You opened my heart,
making my soul rise and have a brand new start.
All from our first kiss.
Our two souls combined as one,
feeling your heart beat next to mine.
What did I do to deserve this honor of love?
It's years later and we're old and grey.
Even after all this time you decided to stay
rather than walk away.
It makes me realize what I would have missed,
if it wasn't for our very first kiss.
