OH SH!T! I JUST GOT THE NEW WAKE UP SHOW VIDEO TAPE AND THAT SH!T IS PHAT!!!
I'm tellin' you, it's a must pick up for the true hip hop junkie. It only cost twenty bones and it's well worth it. It has phat freestyles by MC Juice, the Wake Up Show freestyle tournament winner, Emminem, a up and coming emcee, B-boying by Lil Ceasar and the Air Force Crew and the Universal B-Boys(There's also some phat sh!t with no hand flares and all that crazy stuff). Well worth your money, pick it up!
Well, obviously I'm into the WU TANG CLAN. Ever since the release of their first album, I've been a faithful follower. Now I own almost all of their cd's, solo and group, and still listen to them till this very day. I guess it's because there sound is so unique, and even though they've been force into the main stream of music, they still continue to please their followers that have been there since the begining.
But my musical influences don't stop on the East Coast. I do live on the West Side, and I listen to a lot of local hip hop. The list includes Dubee-aka Sugawolf, Mac Mall, E-40, The Mossie, and many others. Right now, as of February 2nd, I have the cd "Whoridin'" by the Whoridas in my car's cd player. I'm also listening to The Lox and Magoo and Timbaland.
In my other car, I have the Hobo Junction vs. Heiroglyphics freestyle battle on "The Wake Up Show" tape in the deck. I'm getting into this undergound emcee thing, thanks to my friend Alan.
Damn,Joe. All You listen to is RAP?
Unfortunately, it does seem like that. Now that I go to UC Davis, my friend Jai has gotten me into a lot of Metallica. Yeah, I know. To a lot of people that know me well, it sound really different, but really! I do like Metallica. My favorite album is the "Black" album. I mean, with "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters", how could you go wrong?
Hey Joe, got any favorites?
Why yes, thanks for askin'. My favorite Wu-Tang cut is "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthin' To F' WiTH", with "Ice Cream" coming in at a close second. My favorite song of all time is basically impossible to come up with. I don't know, there's just so many songs that I really like. There's "I Get Around" by Tupac,"Senario" by A Tribe Called Quest and Leaders of a New School, and "93 'til Infinity" by Souls of Mischief. And you can't forget "Passin' Me By" by Tha Pharcyde. I don't know. It's like askin' how many licks it takes to get tot he Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop. The world will never know...
