~*~Quentin Tarantino: A Royal Wit' Cheese~*~

Here's a page on the most awesome and twisted director in Hollywood!

Quentin Tarantino emerged not as a product of the film school generation, but from the video store! He penned his first screenplay, True Romance, while working at a video store. When he didn't have enough money to make that film he sold the scrpit and did the same with his next venture, Natural Born Killers, which eventually wound up in the hands of Oliver Stone. Tarantino took the money from his True Romance script and commenced pre-production of his next script, Reservoir Dogs. No matter that his only film making experience was a short gig working as a production assistant on a Dolph Lundgren exercise video. At fifteen, Quentin was arrested in a K-Mart store for an attempt at shoplifting a copy of Elmore Leonard's The Switch- a novel which he based his movie Pulp Fiction on. Pulp Fiction swiped the Canne's film festival prior to its release and went on to score seven Academy Award nominations. Tarantino returned to the production side of filmmaking (after having bit parts in a couple films), to direct Four Rooms, do From Dusk till' Dawn (based on his screenplay), Curdled, and Jackie Brown.
