Anyone remember Rocky Stanton Rau? Rocky was best known for starring in the popular children's television shows "Mr. Do-Good's Castle" and "Santa's Workshop".

Bill Hollingsworth (also known as Bill Holly) was Commander Rip Tide on KNXT channel 2 and The Great Zolar on KHJ channel 9 Island. Oh and don't forget a stint as Captain Jet!

Walker Edmiston must have nine lives and is using them all simultaneously.

You might remember his show with his beloved puppets R. Crag Ravenswood and Kingsley the Lion.

But there isn't enough room on this site to list all the accomplishments of this man. Talented voice artist on any number of cartoons, Krofft shows (the voice of Freddie the flute, among others...), Rankin/Bass...the list goes on. And this doesn't even include his movies OR his TV show guest shots.

We should all be this talented.

If you'd like to see a picture of him and Jimmy Weldon (not to mention Bozo) click here.

Remember Mr. Wishbone?

Jim Allan, alias Mister Wishbone, was a popular KTTV channel 11 children's personality. Along with his friend, Inspector Muldoon (who resides in the mythical town of Wishville) entertained kids in Los Angeles seven mornings a week (in color!) at 7:00 am.

Sunday mornings you could wake up and find Mister Wishbone reading you the funnies from the Herald Examiner.

This top-rated show also featured...

Bart Sterling was the animal handler on the Mr. Wishbone show for 113 appearances. He went on to teach animal care to children on other shows (Sheriff John, Hobo Kelly and Paul Winchell)

Bill Biery starred as "Beachcomber Bill" on KCOP Channel 13 from 1963-1964. This handsome host presented Hanna-Barbara cartoons from his beach house.

All Beachcomber Bill items are from the collection of Whitney Bain.

Anyone remember Bob Adkins and Feather? He showed "Rocky and His Friends" and "Rod Rocket" cartoons on KCOP 13 in the 60's. Whitney Bain was kind enough to send in his notification of appearance on the show from 1965 where he shared this joke on the air:

"What is blue all over, has 4 feet, 4 finger nails and 2 noses?"

"A Purple People Eater"

Has anyone ever heard of "Angie's Garage"? Apparently a short-lived KABC show that aired every Sunday at 8:00 am. Appears to be one of the first shows besides "Domingo" to have a Hispanic host. From the mid 1970's.
