CELINE DION

Celine Dion was born March 30th, 1968 in a little French town outside of Montreal,Québec called Charlemagne.At the age of 5 she started singing, at her brother Michel's wedding. Celine has 13 brothers and sisters! Celine's Mother Therese wrote a song for her called "Ce n'etait Qu'un Reve" (It Was Only A Dream). Celine recorded it, and sent the demo to Rene Angelil. At first he didn't listen to it, knowing it was a song by a 12 year old girl. As soon as he did listen to it, he asked Celine to sing it live for him. She sang so beautiful, Rene started to cry.(aww!)Rene mortgaged his house to produce Celine's first Album- La Voix Du Bon Dieu.Celine recorded many French songs...But she was missing sucess in the United States. She took some time off to learn English..Her first English album was called Unsion. From there on she has recorded 4 more English albums, one of them winning the Album of the Year at the Grammys- Falling Into You. She's now currently touring for her latest English album- Let's Talk About Love. Celine will have two more albums coming out soon- S'il Suffisait D'aimer, and a Christmas one.
