This page outlines the diesel bus service provided on Spadina Road from 1978 until replaced by the 127 DAVENPORT bus in 1984. For details on the main bus service on Spadina Avenue, please refer to the 77 SPADINA bus route history.

January 28, 1978

This new route replaces the northern section of the 77 SPADINA bus, coincident with the opening of the Spadina Subway. Buses run north from the new Spadina Station bus loop, on the east side of Spadina just north of Bloor, via Spadina, west on Davenport, south on Kendal, east on MacPherson and south on Spadina back to Spadina Station. With a round trip time of only 12 minutes, this is the shortest route in the TTC network.
