26 BAYVIEW NORTH Route History

March 30th, 1974

A new route to replace the northern half of the 11 BAYVIEW route. Buses run from Sheppard Station via Sheppard Avenue and Bayview Avenue, turning in the off-street loop at the north-west corner of Bayview and Steeles.

Daily, 18 hours/day

July 21st, 1991

Route discontinued and replaced with an extended 11 BAYVIEW service. Passengers heading to or from Sheppard Station must now transfer to one of the other routes operating along Sheppard Avenue.

Can you help with other Route Histories? Our sources do not detail the many short turn services operated on some of the longer routes during the 1950s and 1960s. Many of these routes also operated both local and express services at rush hours.
