At the request of East York Council, the former 51 MAIN and 62 MORTIMER services are combined into a continuous route to benefit residents living east of Coxwell who—since the days of Hollinger Bus Lines—have not had direct service to the Municipal offices, Toronto East General Hospital, library, etcetera in the centre of the Township. To publicize the route, the TTC ran a special bus in each direction at 10:30 a.m. on Friday May 19th, meeting at Mortimer & Coxwell, and issued special transfers. Buses run every 10 minute at midday (more frequent rush hours) from Broadview & Danforth Avenues via north on Broadview, east on Mortimer and Lumsden Avenues, south on Chisholm Avenue, east on Doncaster Avenue, south on Main Street and Southwood Drive and west on Williamson Road, looping clockwise via south on Wineva Avenue, west on Queen Street, north on Hambly Avenue and east on Williamson. Service provided (starting from Broadview & Danforth) from 6:00 a.m. to 1:37 a.m. Monday through Friday, 5:52 a.m. to 1:37 a.m. Saturday, 8:54 a.m. to 1:37 a.m. Sunday, and 6:47 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on holidays.
