83 REXDALE Route History

November 26th, 1972

A new service on Rexdale Boulevard between Precision Road and Islington with the east loop via Bergamont and Islington. In the west end buses turn in a new off-street loop on the south side of Rexdale at Precision.

Last day of service. Effective Monday February 6th, this route was replaced by a new branch of the 37 ISLINGTON route running from Islington Station.

The above information is drawn from Toronto Transit Commission maps, TTC Headlights--now called Rider News--and pocket timetables in both the Toronto Transportation Society's and the author's collection.
