| Lakshmi is wife of Lord Vishnu. In her many
incarnations she appears as the wife of Vishnu avtars. When Vishnu came
as Rama she was Sita and when he came as Krishna , Lakshmi was Rukmani.
Lakshmi is a goddess of wealth and good fortune. The word Lakshmi is
often used to define a fortunate woman. |
Saraswati is the wife of Lord Brahma, the
goddess of wisdom and the arts. She is white in colour, shown as a
graceful woman with two arms, holding a stringed musical instrument, the
veena, and riding a peacock. |
