A
Dream
by William Geraths - 1997
Can I dream about you tonight?
Can I hold you tight in my arms.
When the darkness scares me -
Could you hold me tight?
Let me kiss you softly on the cheek
A gentle touch to your brow -
While we feel each other's heart beat
When we put out the lights for the
night
You could be next to me - or miles
away
I would still dream of you, holding
you When I see your face light up like an angel
The night is a comfortable place I
can feel you breathing, softly I wouldn't let giant footsteps Break you
from this silence, the night I want to hold you, to feel the longing
Before we say goodnight - Would you
say a prayer with me Do you hold your pillow tight - To dream about me,
before the sun rise?
And I’ll sit here in the dark Thinking
of you - dreaming our dream…
