the history:

Started in 1997, Archaic Opera looks to bring new life to a dying music scene.

Bored with the "popular" music of the last few years, Archaic Opera has set out to build their own unique sound from the ground up. Originally started as a solo project for keyboardist/songwriter Roger Haworth, it has quickly blossomed into so much more.

With the addition of guitarist Brent Zurla in January of 1998, Archaic Opera has now begun the odyssey so many musicians fail to complete.

While the music is as diverse as the influences of the individual artists themselves, it holds it's own against some of the biggest names the music industry has to offer. Combining gothic elements along with progressive and ambient undertones, the music is fresh and exciting while remaining commercially viable. the future:

Archaic Opera is actively pursuing management and currently working on their debut album, The Voice Of Reason. With a proposed Fall of 1999 release date, they are busy writing and recording new songs. Until then, you can find many demo recordings at the Archaic Opera website or by clicking here.
