The world is round-- a great big sphere dangling in space. We know this now, and have even seen pictures of this world we live on taken from space.
But this knowledge is relatively new. People in early centuries believed the world to be flat.
Check out Isaiah 40:21,22
"Do you not know? have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."
This passage clearly states that the world is round. And since the bible was written long before the concept of space travel, or even the concept that the world as round came along, this is one evidence that the bible was inspired.
