Life For Me

Pert near 300 days a year on
And not many free.
The life of the rodeo cowboy
Is the life for me

Travlin' town to town
Without a care in mind.
Still tired and sore from
The many rides left behind

Belly gets to achin' and
Makin' quite a fuss.
A sign that tells me eatin'
Is definatly a must.

But I ain't been winnin'
And I'm a little down on my luck,
So I srcape's together some
Loose change
On the floor board of my truck.

There's only a few quarters, a dime, and a nickle
Now I can afford to buy some chow.
But only just a little,
It'll do fer now.
Just enough to get me by,
'Cause later I'll feast.
After an 8 second two-step
With a Brahma beast

Ya, my time is due and
Tonights the night,
That I'll be standin'
In the rowdy lime light.

As the "hoorahs" and "you ride em's"
Echo from the crowd.
I'll tip a hat of "thank you",
After 8, and feet
Firmly on the ground.

But I still walk away sore and tired,
But it's all worth the entry fee.
No doubt about it,
The rodeo life is the life for me!
