You don't hear many stories about the cowgirl
So, let me try to give it a whirl.
Cowgirls, with their hand light on the reins
They, too have been known to ride on the range.
Cowgirls work from sunrise to sunset
Whether feeding stock, changing diapers, or brandin', there's no regret.
A cowgirl has many roles to play
Especially in the changing world of today.
A vet, trainer, brander, mother and wife
But a cowgirl would never change her life,
Even if it comes with a bit of strife.
So next time you watch a Western, or maybe a country show
Just think of the unspoken cowgirl, and hey, let others know.
