Goodbye Rocketman

Innocene lost amongst the blind

We set sail forever

Alone and lost

We try to be strong (for ourselves)

Losing our loves with their diamond eyes

Holding off the containment

Of our bitter lies

Fighting for the lost causes

Goodbye Rocketman

You know I'll miss you

Alone you leave

Just as before

Grinding our teeth on the cellophane stars

And drifting on the black seas

Trying to hold on to it all

Our lives from so long ago

Mysterious veils covering the dreams

Never to be shown again

Holding onto our little "dream"

Struggling for one more hour

Goodbye Rocketman

You know I'll miss you

Alone you leave

Just as before

Goodbye Rocketman, you know I'll miss you

You're lost to be one of them

The washed up movie stars who all got fat

I hope you think of me often....
