My cat Middy now lives in the great scratching post in the sky. He lived to be 21 which is quite an accomplishment! Scott always said he was an old
man and he finally started to show it. We got him when he was already an "old man" of 10 years. The lady had two cats and was moving, not able to take the cats
with her. We were just buying furnature from her but it's like he
knew his fate if she didn't find him an owner. Mom said "No" but
Kristi and I said, "yes, yes!" Dad also said "Yes!" making it a majority.
Mom agreed but said she'd have nothing to do with "this cat". Now
he is one of the family. We do fun things with him to keep his life
exciting..like walk him down to the mailbox, take him in the car, and let him
play with the doggies.
Unfortunately he was mauled by a big golden retriever and his legs got injured pretty bad. This reduced his activity significantly but he hung in there another year. He brought my family a lot of joy. Thank you Middy! Here are a few pictures of him.
My little Middy Angel.
Middy sniffing some grass..No, I'm not
implying that he does drugs! hehe He likes to drink the water flooded around
the sprinkler head.
Middy on the bench in our front yard.
Elvis Kitty!
Middy caught in a little hug...featuring
my arms! "Can I eat yet?"
This is a lovely *shadow and light* picture
I shot. Middy likes to follow the window light that shines into the
living room. As the day goes on, the light shifts with the sun (obviously),
but he starts at one edge of the room and ends up at the other side!
Middy in his litter box. He went
through a short phase where he'd just sit in there. Luckily he doesn't
do this anymore! (and he has a new box)
Speaking of boxes..Middy got into this box full of styrofoam. Isn't he adorable?
...And that's my boy!
