MAtthew Perry was born August 19, 1969, in Williamstown, Massachsetts, and was raised in Ottowa, Canada, and Los Angeles.His parents divorced when he was a baby. His father is an actor, who is famous for his "Old Spice Sailor" commercials.
Besides being an actor, Perry is also a tennis and hockey player. In fact, it was tennis, not acting that brought him to Los Angeles.
Once he decided he wanted to be an actor, he got parts in some movies, and tv shows, such as: Growing Pains, WHo's The Boss, Empty Nest, and 90210. He appeared in the movie A Night In The Life of Jimmy Reardon, with River Phoenix. Then he got the part of "Chandler Bing" on Friends" and became famous.
Recently, Matthew starred in the movie, "Fools Rush In",(his father also had a small part in this movie). He is not going out with anyone at the moment, although he had a fling with Julia Roberts, a few years ago, after she guest starred on "Friends".
Matthew Perry has a new movie coming out soon, that he also wrote. It also stars the late Chris Farley.
