Brandon Tyler

Brandon's Bio

Newcomer Brandon Tyler's character, Philip Kiriakis, certainly has unusual parentage, even for daytime television; Philip Kiriakis was born from a stolen embryo that was implanted into the womb of his mother's arch enemy. With his father in a nursing home and his mother determined to destroy the woman who gave birth to him, the young Kiriakis will have some issues to deal with when Tyler debuts this fall on NBC Television's number one daytime drama, Days of our Lives. Brandon, born Brandon Tyler Williams, was raised in Spokane, Washington, although his family moved to Montana for a few years when Brandon was a baby. Brandon is of German, Welsh, and Native American descent; his Great Grandmother was a full native American Indian with Cherokee and Blackfoot lineage. His father, Steve, is a sales manager at the Honda dealership in Spokane, and his mother, Lauri, is a technical support leader for an internet company. While attending Central Valley Middle School, Tyler was cast in his first role as a new postal recruit in the Kevin Costner film, "The Postman" Tyler juggled commercial and modeling assignments while attending high school in Spokane. When Brandon was fifteen, at the urging of a family friend, he decided to give Los Angeles a try for a summer. Tyler came to Hollywood and landed a manager and an agent. He then spent the next two years commuting back and forth from Spokane auditioning and studying his craft. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys hanging out with his younger sister, Melissa, and snowboarding and aggressive roller-blading, which the young actor describes as roller blading with ropes and jumps. Brandon, who recently turned seventeen, is relocating to Hollywood to join the cast of Days of our Lives and will finish his senior year of high school in Los Angeles. He studies acting with Justine Hunt at the Highwire Studio. Brandon stands 5' 9" and has brown hair and green eyes. He celebrates his birthday on August 23 and was born in 1982.

Unfortunately Brandon only played the part of Philip for 13 weeks. During this time he managed to get himself into trouble with a bookie and his father. The part was later taken over by Jay K. Johnson.
