Hitting the grounded opponent

TECH ROLL- While the tech roll helps the opponent get up quickly, it also brings them right in front of you. By executing a quick move as they get up, you can put them back onto the floor.

ANKLE KICK- If you simply move out of their range, you can easy pop them up or use a power move on them. Blocking it is pretty useless. No one ever does it, and since they recover if they hit you or not, you have gained anything except a few minor hit damage.

LOW KICK- This is a very fast low attack that takes quick reflexes to block. Try hovering in and out of the attack range then hit them when they miss you. You also may be able to low parry this move, especially with Lei's autoparry stance.

MID KICK- This is easy to see coming (well at least easier to see than the low kick). If you are quick enough, you can attack reverse it and put them back on the ground. Or simply stand a bit out of range, then smack them as they are returning to their standing animation. Another option is to use an attack that hits low, so you can hit them low as they miss you high.

ROLLING AWAY/ ROLLING IN- If you see them roll, and you are anywhere NEAR them, immediately punish them with a move. If they roll towards you, hit them before they can bust out the FLYING CROSS ARM. If they are rolling away, pursue, then hit them.

FLYING CROSS ARM- This is hard to counter since it has such great priority. If you block this move, you will be stunned, and your opponent will have greater priority on the next exchange. Try to sidestep it.

HAND SPRING- This has low priority if you block it, so simply block, then counter. It's best to do a throw, since they are likely going to block right after.

ROLL OVER- They are vulnerable during the roll, so trying to kick them while they are rolling. If they manage to roll all the way over, be careful of the quick low kick that will automatically knock you down for a long "float" combo.
