General Strategy

REVERSING THE TACKLE- Tackles can be reversed and parried. Start the reversal/parry move early, since the tackle will lunge forward. There should be ground between you and the opponent when you start your move.

BREAKING THE INITIAL TACKLE- If you are unable to reverse or parry the tackle, you can still press RP+RK immediately when the tackle hits. This will "push" the opponent away, leaving both players standing. Remember to press the buttons as soon as the tackle hits, or else you will hit the dirt.

TURNING THE TABLES- If you miss the opportunity to break the tackle, you can still press LP+RP then RP again to flip your opponent. You need to press the buttons as soon as you hit the ground, otherwise be forced to play a guessing game. Though your character is now in the aggressor position, you cannot attack at all. Your player will just roll over them and climb off.

BLOCKING PUNCHES- If you don't succeed in any or the previous techniques, now it becomes a guessing game. The opponent has the option of three punches to an arm bar, three punches to a leg lock, an arm bar, or a leg lock. To Escape the punches, press the opposite punch that they throw. So if they use RP,LP,RP,LP.... escape the LPs with RP and the RP with LPs.

ARM BAR ESCAPE- If Jin, King, Paul, or Nina attempt to perform the arm bar, escape by pressing LP+RP, then RP four times. If you are Nina, Jin, Paul, or King, you can reverse with LP+RP, then three RPs to snap their arm! The timing on this reversal is extremely tough. You might accidently pull off the escape by accident, and anyways it's difficult to perform the escape in the first place.

LEG LOCK- Only Nina and King can perform the leg lock aspect of the tackle options. To escape, press LP+RP, then LP four times. If you happen to be playing Nina or King, press LP+RP, then LP three times to reverse the move AND snap their leg. Timing is critical. It's VERY difficult to pull off the reversal, since you are likely to perform the escape. In fact, it was so difficult that I had to "fake" these pictures. ^_^
