~~A Patch of Blue~~
My world was dark and dismal
Seemed the light could not shine through
Then in yonders far horizon
I saw a tiny patch of blue
Now my world seems brighter
My heart feels lighter too
Since the day I looked into the sky
And saw that patch of blue
When the storms of life cloud up your sky
And you don't know what to do
Lift up your eyes and scan the sky
For a little patch of blue
And when your sky is blue overhead
With not a cloud to block your view
Just silently bow your thankful head
For that heavenly patch of blue
When threatening clouds loom overhead
In life they somtimes do
Watch for the sunshine to burst through
Followed by a patch of blue
Friend, let your trust be steadfast
Let your faith be strong and true
And keep in mind, in His good time
God will send you a patch of blue
For there is many a suffering soul out there
Who is seeing it worse than you
Give him a hand and let him know you care
And help him find a patch of blue
