Who are they? Brothers Isaac (Ike), Taylor (Tay), and Zachary (Zac) Hanson
Where are they from? Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
What do they do? Make the most amazing, fresh, exciting, life-affirming pop sounds. They write songs, play instruments, and have loads of fun along the way.
When did they start doing music? The three cool brothers began writing, recording, and releasing songs in 1992. When they started they were only six, nine, and eleven years old!
What's their story? Mom and Dad Hanson were keen singers, so the lads grew up surrounded by music. Isaac says: "I was only eight when I wrote my first song, and Zac is writing songs already." Between them, they've written over 100 songs and played many more gigs - altough a recent performance in a local bar had to be performed outside as they were too young to get in!
They're going to be rather big? Bet your booty! One listen to their debut single Mmmbop should make that fairly clear. It's catchier than a case of nits in a shampoo and nit-nurse free primary school. It's sunnier than a collision between hundreds of balloon animals and a real hedgehog...PHEW! They're that good......

How would you like to spend an afternoon off?
"I would go roller-blading on Venice Beach, then I'd grab a little buggy or cart and go carting, and then I would have a huge party and really do up the living room."
"I'd go on a date with some cute girl, take her out to dinner, have a huge party, y'know."
"That's a hard one......I'm into Sega, PlayStation and Nintendo 64. I also like playing with Legos. I guess I'd like to go Laser Questing."
If we gave you 20 pounds (English Currency) to spend, what would you buy?
"Can I not have more than that? I would buy jellybeans, tons and tons of jellybeans."
"Some cool CD's, some music that I really want to buy--I'd like the new Spin Doctors album"
"Right now? I would probably go out and buy a Virtual Boy. It's a video game thing, they're kinda cool, but didn't do very well in the USA, so they're on sale."
What would be your ideal meal?
"Mesquite chicken marinaded in lemon sauce, a big piece of steak, a burrito, gigantic burger with tons of cheese and loads of gunk on it, and fries."

WHOOAH!! Hard one! Ummmm, lots of meals. I'd have all my favorite foods...now, I'd fancy a pile of jello."
Worst habit?
"I tap on everything, all the time. It annoys people." "He's the mad percussionist," says Isaac.
"I bite my fingernails." ("We all do," says Tay.) "It's very bad for a guitarist"
"I'm too physical. ("He's very strong for his age. He's always jumping and hanging off us."--Isaac)

If you weren't a pop star, what would you want to be when you grow up? "This is really what I always wanted to do, but if anything else comes along, like acting... (he nods knowingly and points at Zac) I wouldn't have minded being an architect, or an interior designer."
"We've worked at this for ages but it doesn't feel like a job, so I'll do this."
I've had this job since I was six. I could be a cartoonist."
How do the other two describe him?
"Tay is very much the perfectionist---in just about everything," say Ike and Zac.
"Ike's the romantic in the band, the artist," Tay and Zac decide. "He jokes. He's very technical--he knows how to do things, how to put stuff together."
"He's got a split personality," says Tay. Ike adds: "Sometimes he's very quiet, In business meetings he's quite pondering, but then he's crazy!" Tay jokes: "He's streaked through the middle of town." ("I DID NOT DO THAT!!!," Zac yells. "I haven't done anything that bad recently, have I?" Taylor and Isaac keep shtoom!)
Finally Hanson, are you prepared to be the biggest new band on Planet Pop?
IKE----->Whoo-hoh!
ZAC----->Big one , hey, y'know!
Tay----->We're just totally chuffed you like us! We try to play things down as much as possible. If it happens we'll love it!
IKE----->We haven't sold a record here yet, we just want our music to be heard.....
