14-year old Janelle was sitting squashed tight between her two brothers, Brenden and Ethan, on flight 446, Middle Class, on United Airlines. Brenden, who was 16, was staring at some hot chick one row up from where they were sitting, and Ethan was drawing fighter planes and super hero figures in his "United Airlines Kid's Drawing Pack." Janelle sighed and sat back. Nothing could get any worse. Well, all that had happened in the last week, was that her parents had packed her and her brothers, and moved them halfway across the country to Oklahoma........OKLAHOMA!! What could be in Oklahoma?! Well, her father's new job for one, and an old friend of her mom's from college. And now they were leaving all their old friends in California, and were moving to some place that Janelle had never even THOUGHT of going to in her whole life. Janelle glanced over at Brenden, who was giving subtle glances at the cute brunette in row 7D. She couldn't believ it, he didn't seem the LEAST fazed with this whole situation. All he had said was, "It's not like we're moving to the Arctic, we're still gonna be in the same country, we're just moving to a different time-zone. Lighten up, sis." Ethan wasn't much better either. His response to the whole thing was, "Do they have cute chicks there?" Looks like the 11-year old was taking after his older brother.
All of a sudden, Janelle felt a hard shove in her right shoulder. "OW!!," she cried. She glanced over at her older brother, who was now turning 21 different shades of red. Hehehe, he resembled something between a ripe tomato and a crisp red apple. "What's yer problem?!" Brenden replied, "That cute chick is walking over! Quick! Switch places with me!!" Janelle replied, "UH-UH!! No way I'm giving up my seat. Now you'll know better than to treat girls like art exhibits in art museums."
Just then, she looked up and saw the pretty brunette leering over them. Janelle snickered at her brother and said to the girl, "Hi. Wassup?" Poor Brenden was sitting hunched in his seat trying to cover half his face with his black cap. The girl answered, "HI! Uh, are you guys also headed to Oklahoma? Or are you guys just stopping through?" Janelle replied, "Oh, yeah, we're actually moving there. We're from California. Why?" The brunette girl answered, "Oh, hi! I'm Arwen. I work for Mercury Records and we're going to be producing a Music VDO for the Pop band Hanson. And, y'see, we're looking for teens to be in it. Are you guys interested?" Janelle's eyes were widening. She thought to herself, "Hanson?! Who's Hanson?! WOW!! Cool, i'm gonna getta be on a Music VDO!! I'll be on MTV!!" Arwen quickly spoke up, "You probably haven't heard of Hanson. They're these three brothers from Tulsa, and they're going to be releasing their new single in a week." Her voice dragged on, and Janelle was thinking, "Huh? This is so weird!" Janelle's voice interuppted her thoughts. "If you want, I have a copy of their album here, you can check it out if ya want." She walked away for a second and soon reappeared with a walkman in her right hand and a bright yellow CD album in her left. She handed the CD cover to Janelle and she stared at the three young bros. on the front cover, and thought, "They look kinda young....." She slipped the the CD into the CD player, and turned to track two, as Arwen had told her and was soon swept away to the boppin fresh music.......
When the song was over she looked up with a big grin on her face. And Arwen was smiling down on her and she said, "So? What do ya think? Like it?" Janelle quickly replied, "YEAH!! That was sooo cool!! I've never heard anything like it!! Sure i'll be in the VDO!! Well, I hafta ask my parents first, but I'm sure they'll let me!!" Arwen sat down in the empty seat in front of her and they started talking and chatting while Brenden sat and wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open at the whole scene going on in front of him.
