End of the Year BBQ and Softball Game
I'll start by saying that the softball game was close this year: Students 19, Faculty 22 (and only 3 innings). I blame our loss mostly on Randy. We were doing same team pitching because we just barely had enough people and this way everyone got to hit. So when the students were up, Randy was pitching. Byron on first and I was up for my second at bat. I admit, I hit the ball pretty much directly at Randy. Not only does he catch it, BUT HE FUCKING THREW IT TO FIRST FOR A DOUBLE PLAY and thus ended our inning. It was a good play HAD HE BEEN ON THE OTHER TEAM. As you can tell, I'm a little bitter about it. I should also partly blame myself as I missed two balls by just a little. But still, the faculty got most of their lead in the second inning (we were the home team btw). Anyway, the good things were that my first time at bat, not only did I hit but I made it to first and then to an error by Nick (who was a traitor and went to team faculty *hiss*) made it to second. I ended up scoring which made me very happy because that was one of the few times that has ever happened, let alone from me getting on base without getting a walk. My third at bat I also hit the ball that went towards Dr. Richert but he goofed it picking it up so I was safe. They got me out at second though. I did no good fielding though. Actually my fielding was crap because as I said, some balls got by, grrr. I did do some pitching though in the second and third inning because I forbade Randy from pitching. Dr. Richert was playing third and when I first went to pitch he asked me "So if the ball is going towards you, I should go for it?" I replied yes and then he said "I kind of guessed after the violent reaction you had with Randy." I made sure to put my glove behind my back after each hit just so I wouldn't be tempted. Jeff were very good hitters as both hit home runs during the game with at least a couple people on base. Despite my bitterness at losing to team faculty AGAIN (damnit, we WILL win before I graduate!) I had a very good time.

After the game, we had a our BBQ. I of course had a hamburger. it went well except that it was very windy. As in I had to have one over the chips on my plate to stop them from blowing away while using another hand to hold the plate and another hand to hold my cup. Hmmm, I grew an extra limb somewhere. The only part that sucked was that my camera battery decided to die* so I couldn't take pictures =(. Due to the wind, some of us were very cold so Teresea suggested playing tag so she, Rena (who came with Randy), Ian, Byron and I played freeze tag for about 10 minutes. It did warm us up. And there were also some funny jokes about Kevin and Alexis' ass. Apparently she was leaning over the table and Kevin made some suggestive moments and Tyler, Alexis' boyfriend, took a picture. Alexis was cool with it though. Then later, Alexis again reached for something and Kevin pretended to take a picture. Tyler started to get a little defensive and Alexis just looked confused whereupon I told her to encourage Tyler to beat up Kevin but then Kevin showed us that he didn't take a picture. Once Alexis found out what was going on, she stuck her butt right at Kevin. Good times, good times. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

*I stopped at Rite Aid on the way home to pick up a new photo battery. I bought a two pack and just tried to put it in my camera and it turns out it's too big. Argh! I didn't see any smaller batteries there either =\
