It went pretty well. We actually got to play as we had 5 girls (although one left at 6) and 9 guys. Although we were the visitors, boo. I liked their first pitcher. Mainly because all she pitched was balls ;-). She walked the first four people. We were very excited that we scored a run in the first inning. Anywho, I got on base a couple times, but
I liked the umpire. His name was Justin and I actually knew him from playing with Poly Reps in the spring. So he and Randy were friends. He was a very "liberal" umpire. I'm not sure if that's the right word for it. But some would be strikes he called as balls and actually gave the ties to the runner.
Regardless of all this, we still lost but we played our best game yet. Actually, if you comibine our scores from our previous official games and that was our score tonight (aka 8). I think Leia's boyfriend Jared hitting a home run with two people on helped a lot in that category. But the other team got 18 so, yeah. They, having yet to lose a game, are going to the playoffs whereas we are done for the quarter. Ah well, it was most definitely fun while it lasted =).
I think I will look into starting a volleyball team for next quarter. Although I want my classes finialized first which is a whole other issue. But yeah, volleyball should be fun. Plus it doesn't require as many people. (Watch, we'll still forfeit). So yeah, note to self, look into this.
