I'm going to get a C in 459!!!! =)
And I'm happy to say that! (Whoever thought this day would come?)

After many hours of frustration, several trips to Dr.Shapiro's office, a few tears, and exploring the wonderfulness that is Maple, my ball in vase problem is SOLVED!!! :-D Yay!!!! GO ME, GO ME, GO, GO, GO ME!

I just need to do the write up which I will hopefully *crosses fingers* finish tonight. Then I will work on 406 and/or 481 tomorrow. Or if no homework is posted in those, I'll work on the required problem for 459 so I can keep my hard earned C. I still can't get over the fact that I'm absolutely estatic over getting a C. Anyway, it looks like I might have some fun this weekend after all. =)

Busy
It was actually busy at work tonight. As in, I stayed an hour later just to finish up everything. Which included, about 3 tickets from calls, 1 ticket that was submitted, 3 wireless forms, 2 contact forms and one e-mail. It being busy was quite a shock to me. At one point, I was on the phone and both of the other lines were ringing, oy. You could argue that I could have left the 2 contact forms and the 3 wireless forms for the morning people, but that would mean that I was lying when I signed my name on the check list saying I checked the e-mail and checked remedy.

I originally was going to stay at work for longer but working on homework. After doing the overtime, I just wanted to go home. Once I got home I talked with Meghan and watched Angel. Otherwise known as the calm before the storm that is tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the student/faculty social. Which means I have to try to leave earlier for school just drop everything off in the department office. It also means that my 3 hour break tomorrow is pretty much gone. Not good when I still have quite a lot of homework to do. Also, I'm concerned that hardly anyone will show up for the social. There hasn't been any publicity for it at all. I just sent out an e-mail as a quick reminder except I just realized that it could a day for it to arrive due to our backlog of e-mails thanks to that virus over the weekend (mostly the reason work was so busy).

ARGHHHH!

YAY! (aka, Where have you been all of my lease?)
Meghan put in the request about the light in my room for me yesterday and they came by today and replaced the bulbs. I turned on the light and couldn't believe I didn't report it sooner.

First of all, absolutely NO flicker. NONE. ZIP. ZILCH. Secondly, there is no buzzing from the light. It's amazing how quiet my room can be. I don't think it's ever been like this. Thirdly, I was right about the slider on the side of the switch. It IS a dimmer. Not a "how much flicker" controller.

Overall, it is just SO MUCH BETTER!

Soda
So last night I wanted stress food and decided to cross the picket lines into Albertson's. So I got my stress food as well as Diet Pepsi and milk. I had some of the Diet Pepsi tonight only to find out it was flat. The experation date on it was January 19, 2004. Do you have any idea how long that must have been sitting on the shelf to expire?! The one I finished tonight (and had bought probably a week or two ago) had an experation date on it of March 2004. I will be going back to Albertson's with my receipt for an exchange tomorrow.

What's our society coming to?
Honor rolls recalled in Nashville because some "parents complained their children might be ridiculed for not making the list."

Game Night quotes
[Me] Otherwise I'd have to pretend to be 7 little men
----
[Nick] How else would you get "lawn mower" without using like 8 words?
[Andre] Grass cutter.

*this is where you laugh yourself silly before I tell why these things were said*

Context:
The first quote was after my team guessed that I was Snow White in Charades after I prentended to bite an apple and faint.
The second quote was after Nick used a long description for lawn mower (something like "the thing you run over the stuff in front of your house") while playing 25 Words Or Less

Work Rant
It irks me how I spent my last 20 minutes or so at work(15 of which was after my shift ended) working on answering and documenting a contact form that came in at 5:40pm. 5:40pm yesterday. Why on earth was I the person to answer it? Six people, excluding myself, worked since it came in. Now I understand getting busy and what not (Jeff being the only lead to come in all day, did have quite a bit to do) but how come no one said that there were 3 unanswered e-mails in our inbox? Yes, THREE. None of which arrived after my shift started and all of them at least looked at by someone. I got to two of them during my shift. I didn't feel like spending an extra half an hour just attempting to understand what this guy was talking about (something about password protecting his site for his students). At that point, I had already put in an hour and 15 minutes of extra time at work. And that's on top of an eighteen hour work week. But you know what I did instead? I wrote a note on a sticky saying there was an unanswered e-mail and put it on one of the monitors for whoever opened on Monday so that way they could get to it.

You know what? Sometimes I hate having a strong sense of responsibility.

Why not? It's not like anyone reads this but me
1. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it.
2. Am I lovable?
3. How long have you known me?
4. When and how did we first meet?
5. What was your first impression?
6. Do you still think that way about me now?
7. What do you think my weakness is?
8. Do you think I'll get married?
9. What makes me happy?
10. What makes me sad?
11. What reminds you of me?
12. If you could give me anything what would it be?
13. How well do you know me?
14. When's the last time you saw me?
15. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't?
16. Do you think I could kill someone?
17. Describe me in one word.
18. Do you think our friendship is getting stronger/weaker/or staying the same?
19. Do you feel that you could talk to me about anything and I would listen?
20. Do you want me to fill this out for you?

Something interesting happened tonight
But I'm not telling you til later, hah! (yes, I am evil)

So this morning I bumped my head twice. The first was when I was coming out from under my desk and came up too early. The second was when I was putting my backpack in Meghan's trunk. When she got in, the car went down ever so slightly and the trunk bumped into me.

Then after work I twisted my ankle while walking down three steps. Ouch. It was odd, after a while, the pain in my ankle went away but I still had pain on the top of my foot whenever I flexed.

Then at Hawthorne, I bumped my head two more times. Once on a bookshelf while spending practically the entire time with this one kid. I have a hard enough time explaining simple-to-me concepts to the English as a first language kids, let alone the English as a second language ones. But anyway...the second bump was getting into the car on the way back.

And tonight was the Honors Program meeting. I would like to start that I find it funny that not a single Honors Club board member was there to show support. But whatever. The bad news that came during the meeting was one of the Honors courses I was planning on taking in Spring got cancelled. The good news came in three parts: 1) I can take this other course in Spring 2) MATH 241, which I took my freshman year, will get me retroactive Honors credit 3) a completed senior project counts as one Honors course. This was very good news because once I take these two Honors courses in Spring, I'm done with Honors courses. And here I though I would trouble taking 8 courses! My night concludes with me being brought home in a police car.
