...
This morning I accidently kinda cut myself (more like a scrape, but the skin is now red and slightly raised)

...

with my nail.

Guess I should be more careful getting out of bed.

Car things
Dropped my car off at the mechanic today to be fixed tomorrow. So here's a list of things I want to do once I get it back:
-go get gas
-go get the car washed. How does a car in a covered spot get so dirty?
-go to the Dollar Tree and get a bucket for the mop (possibly a new mop with it) and another glass container to burn my wickless candle in to get wax and make a wickful candle.
-go to Sears and buy a cheap vaccum. Still not sure where exactly I'm going to keep it, but it would be nice to have. Besides, the ones at Valencia are unreliable in the sense that you can't gurantee that you'll be able to check out a vaccum and they don't get everything off of the carpets (ie, my hair).
-go to the drive in and see T3. Hopefully it will still be playing Friday night because that's when I want to go.
-go to the bank and get some quarters. I did laundry this weekend which has nearly wipped me out.
-go to Staples and get some hanging folders and another filing box.
-go to a place that sells white boards with shelves. I want for the apartment. I suppose I should just bring the one from home, except that one has a metal frame. And if you could see the wall it was leaning against, you would see why I'm hesistating to bring it.

Hmmm, I think that's pretty much it on the to do list. It will be nice to not have to depend on other people for some rides.

Excuses
I've been making a lot of excuses to not do things.
To not do my reading homework, I've:
1) cleaned my room sans vaccuming (plan on buying one once I have my car back to haul it back in)
2) cleaned the kitchen
3) took out the recycling
4) done sit-ups
5) done laundry
6) written a letter to my grandma
7) read some my mystery book because it's more interesting
8) made boring blog posts that only one person will read

Granted, those weren't all on the same day but more like over the course of the past 5 days.

I've also made excuses for other things but I don't feel like talking about them right now.

Why must my Sociology teacher be a book tester? Psychology I think I can get away with not reading. Although I should. Bah. Anyway, my plan is to get some reading done while I'm exercising. Now I just need to stop making excuses for not going to the gym.

*random thought time* How is it my iPod says it is fully charged but then when I unplug it and then plug it back in, it starts to charge again?*/random thought time*

I'm observant, really
I had a note on my door yesterday saying that Valencia crew were going to be entering the apartment today to do work to prepare for my new roommate moving in soon.

So I came home around 4 today and looked around for improvements/changes. I only saw three things: (1) the chairs were put back in their place (not my customized for comfort way), (2) the microwave was blinking which means it got unplugged for something but I couldn't tell what, and (3) room A was locked (damn them for that, they've now cut off some of my air circulation!). [hmmm, sirens...]

As I was bolting the door for the night, I noticed what was probably the only improvement: a peep hole. Good to have. Now if we only had a doorbell...

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention this in my last post.

I heard a lot of noise going on outside my apartment. So went into the empty room and took a look outside. It looked like a whole bunch of guys cleaning out 160. Then I hear this
[Guy1] Hey man! I thought you were locked up?
[Guy2] Naw, I just got out.

Whereupon I ran downstairs and made sure my door was bolted.

Positive Reinforcement
Tsk tsk Psychology! I was bad and you rewarded me by giving me a B+ on my exam! (which would have been an A- had I gone with my first instincts on one question, grr..., but I'm not bitter...not at all...). Now to start studying for Jzz final. I have a chance, so I want to take it...yet I'm really not in the mood for studying. I should just go to some computer lab tomorrow after this meeting with this Carol woman for extra credit in Sociology and write my Jazz outline.

Tests and Papers and Cookie Dough, Oh My!
Tests: I got my Jazz midterm back today. Not too bad, I got an 81% on it. I did better than I thought on the listening portion of it. Which reminds me, I need to pick up the CD for the final next week. I have a Sociology test tomorrow. Very much not looking foward to that.

Papers: I turned in my paper on Afrocentrism today. If you read my away messages, that was the paper I was talking about Sunday and yesterday. It's done and over with. Thank goodness. I have a Sociology paper due on Friday that I have no clue what the hell I'm suppose to write. Well that's not true, I'm suppose to "critique" a journal article about Mexican society. Sounds easy, right? Wrong! The journal has to be from a list of journals he gave out. And pretty much none of them have what I think I'm looking for. I haven't done too much regarding this yet. The paper is only worth 10 points. But oh how I am envying groups 2 and 3 right now. Group 2 has their paper due on Monday, and group 3's is due Wednesday. I would call this a slight advantage to the other group. Or at least a disadvantage to my group. I hate group work. Have you heard my rant about the Life Sucking Project From Hell? If you want to see me angry, ask me about it sometime.

Cookie Dough: In the true Procrastinator spirit, I made some cookie dough. This kept me downstairs longer in which case I got sucked into a television program. Now I did bake some of this dough (where upon I also ate about 4-6 of the baked cookies) but I also ate some raw. I wasn't feeling too well about an hour ago but I'm feeling better now. I'm really just including this section so I could do the "Wizard of Oz" paradoy for the title of this entry (which is done in the true Procrastinator spirit as well). *sigh* I suppose I should get back studying. or start studying as the case may be

DSL
Well my DSL finally arrived. Actually, it got here on the 25th but SBC forgot to put my apartment number on it so Valencia had to figure it out themselves and that's why it took the extra days. Anyway, I'm all installed and stuff. So now I'll be able to get and make phone calls while I'm online.

Semi bored at work
Not that there's a lack of things to do. I've got homework that I could be working on. But I've been doing that between the few calls I've taken for the past 2.5 hours. And I've been taking most of the calls (apparently). Now I still have 15 minutes before I'm off and get to go to Jazz. Oh the joy ;-P.

So far I haven't heard of any plans for over the weekned. So right now my plan is to do homework and study for my next two midterms. We'll see how well that works. *sigh*
