So after getting back my Combinatorics midterm back (67, eep!) I went shopping for a new pair of shoes as mine have seen much better days. (Plus the blood stain that is now on my left heel isn't that attractive). First I went to Payless but wasn't happy with their selection. Then I went to Copland's and spent the next 45 minutes deciding between 3 pairs of shoes. The first two were the same style just different sizes. What I hate about my feet is that not only are they wide, but also my left foot is about half a size bigger than my right foot. I knew one was bigger than the other but I measured them in the store. Then I tried on a third pair after getting clarification between a "walking" shoe and a "fitness" shoe from a salesperson. The third pair, a "fitness" shoe was the one I finally went with after walking around for a bit making sure that both of my feet were quite comfortable. I hat buying shoes because of trhe different sizes and the width. Especially any dress shoes. Just to get them to fit my width I have to go up a half size or a full size and then put pads in to make my feet snug in terms of length. *sigh* This is why I just wear my one pair of sneakers to death.
Anyway, tonight after Juile, Meghan and I had some laughs over putting up our new "doorbell" and naming it and Meghan's parrot, Meghan brought out her senior project to show us some funny things. One of the things was the work "currricular" on the top of every page in the header. She was surprised that someone made that mistake and that no one has bothered to correct it over the past 4 years. Although she noted that she and her partner couldn't fix it either. She said that they tried but it was all greyed out. I told her "well, yeah, until you hit View Header and Footer." She gave this sort of amazed look and then went to try it on the computer. She was very happy when it worked. While I was there, she had me try to fix another problem with a page printing lines that weren't suppose to be there. I didn't see anything in normal view but they were there in print preview. So I simply edited them away while I was in print preview and vwala (sp?), no more lines. This also made Meghan very happy. She said "Note to self: schedule senior project meetings on the weekends when Mandy is here." She also said that while she herself may not be brilliant, she's brilliant in how to use people yet can offer nothing in return except for an amusement factor. Which is true. Meghan can almost always make me smile or laugh (read: poking me with a fork after losing the race to the microwave last night).
