Susan Biskeborn
came to us from Ballet Arts in New York. she is a gifted and very popular performer. She has created wonderful roles in Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Hansel and Gretel. Besides dancing, she also teaches music and is serving as this year's MPBC Board President.
Debi Martin
is a Hollister dancer who has performed with MPBC since its inception in 1989. Though she has danced roles such as the Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, a beneficient Burgomeister's wife in Coppelia, and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, she thoroughly enjoys the "wicked" roles she has performed in Hansel and Gretel, and Snow White. Debi has also served on the board every year.
Kari Simmons
was born in Oslo, Norway, and is fairly new to the Company, appearing for the first time in Cinderella 2 years ago. She took a larger role in last year's Coppelia production, and will be dancing the role of the Queen Mother in our new production of Snow White. Her on-stage death in Act One is wonderful, and she is having fun being so dramatic. Kari is our Board Vice-president this year.
Elena Briber
is one of our oh-so-very-promising younger dancers. She has danced in the company productions since 1994, though she is too young to be a member. She has beautiful technique, is a very strong dancer, and has good dramatic capabilities. We are really looking to a bright future for her.
Andrea Damkar
is dancing the part of Snow White for us this year and we are delighted with her portrayal, still in rehearsal stages. She has only been dancing with us for 3 years, and we are hopeful she will be here awhile longer.
Katherine Isaacson,
another great California dancer, is performing two roles in Snow White: both the Huntsman and Prince Charming. She has turned in excellent performances in one of the title roles in Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, and Coppelia, and we are absolutely confident she will make us proud again. Kathy is a busy high-school student who also excels in sports, but we are enjoying her work while we can.
Meghan Marquez
is a delightful younger dancer that we are watching closely. She appeared in Cinderella and Coppelia, and turned in excellent performances. Her pointe work is very secure, so of course she's getting more of it in Snow White. You will be pleased with her grace and strength.
Yvette Pellman
first danced with us in 1993---no bigger than a minute---and very impressive with her careful technique and musical phrasing. Five years later, she remains petite, but has become accomplished as well. We are delighted with her progress and are excited about her future.
Aimee Thompson
has also danced with us for five years and we're totally delighted with how strong she has become, and a very quick study as well! Her pointe work is good, and the energy she brings to rehearsals is wonderfully infectious.
