Continuing on the Tour of our
1967 20' Globetrotter Airstream!
This view is the kitchen and the sink and closet side of the bath. The closet is on the immediate left of the sink, with a mirror velcroed to the side of the closet. The mirror is a good 2' - 3' long, and is hinged on one side, velcroed on the other. You pull it out, stand in the kitchen, and Voila! a floor length mirror!
This little chair really isn't! This is a hinged seat over the toilet! Linda thought it was so things didn't drop in the toilet; Jim thought it was so Linda could sit down and put her make-up on!Now the back of the seat is also hinged, and it's a storage area! There's not a bit of unused space in this rig!
This picture probably seems confusing. Let me explain. This is sitting on the chair in the bathroom looking up to the left. This is the formica that covers the bathroom wall, and the shower curtain that matches. (well, a corner of the shower curtain, anyway.) The shower curtain will be replaced; the formica reglued. The formica is in excellent condition.
These cabinets are directly over the front gaucho. The little space at the top of the cabinet to the left has owner's manual embossed on it! And believe it or not, we do have the original owner's manual. That and all the paperwork pertaining to this unit is in a 3 ring binder!
There used to a heater in this spot. We will have to have a door made for this space to match the door to the left. A door and some other shelves. We are contemplating a replacement heater; we just don't know at this point exactly what we'll do for heat!
This panel of lights is on the side of where the heater used to be. They dim, all light up, individually light up, etc., etc., etc.! Jim had fun playing with them when he discovered them!Well, the work is starting! Jim is scrubbing, Linda is spending! To check out the work in progress, start with the next page! As more changes are made, we'll keep adding them! Right now, this is all that's been done!
Happy Trails!
