Harry Belafonte 45s with Maynard Ferguson

HARRY BELAFONTE, BELAFONTE ACT 2 -- RCA Victor 45 EP EPA-694

Here's an RCA picture cover 45 EP from the mid-50's. MF actually doesn't appear on this particular EP, but he DOES appear on the other two EPs in this set (693 and 695), so this one is included here figuring that you'll want a complete set. The three tracks on the EP are Sylvie, In That Great Gettin' Up Mornin', and Jump Down, Spin Around.
COPY #1. This is the first copy of this EP I've ever had for sale. The picture cover is a relatively clean and nice EX++. The labels are clean and nice. The disc is a super NMINT-. It's $9.00.

HARRY BELAFONTE, BELAFONTE ACT 3 -- RCA Victor 45 EP EPA-695

Here's an RCA picture cover 45 EP from the mid-50's. MF appears on the track Waterboy, recorded 8/18/55. The other two tracks on the EP are Noah and Suzanne (Every Night When the Sun Goes Down). One of the harder EPs to find with MF.
COPY #1. This is the first copy of this EP I've ever had for sale. The picture cover has a 2" blue ink mark on the front, there's a seam crack at left middle, and there is a bit of wear visible, mainly on the back. I'd rate this cover as EX-. The labels are clean and nice. The disc is EX-. It's just $4.00.

HARRY BELAFONTE, THE BEST OF BELAFONTE -- RCA Victor SPD-24

Here's a 10-disc boxed set of EPs that came out in the 1950s. It's a "greatest hits" EP collection. The boxes are relatively fragile on these, so expect to find some flaws on most copies. Maynard plays on the tracks Troubles, Waterboy, and Scarlet Ribbons which were recorded 8/17 - 8/18/55. The discs are numbered from sides 1 to 20, and the complete set has a really nice custom booklet inside. The records did NOT come in sleeves -- rather, there were RCA advertising inserts placed in the box between each disc to prevent scratches. To find a copy with all the original components is tough. This one books in my record guide for $8.00 per disc plus $20.00 for the box and booklet -- a total of $100.00.
COPY #1. This is the first copy of this EP I've ever had for sale. The cover has clean and nice front paper, but someone taped the cover closed on the right side at one time. The tape is no longer there, but it left a little discoloration on the edge of the box. Also, the box is supposed to open to the left, but the left hinge cleaned snapped, so the lid comes completely off. There's also a small sticker on the spine. Even with these problems, it's still an ultra solid box, with no corner bends and no splits. I'd rate the box as EX-. The original booklet and all the paper liner inserts are in the box. All 10 discs are in super nice shape -- NMINT. Remember, this one books for $100.00, but with the minor box problems, you can have this copy for just $20.00.
