Wayne Bergeron CDs with Maynard Ferguson

A couple of months prior to his death, in about June 2006, Maynard was asked to play a duet with Wayne Bergeron for Wayne's upcoming CD. The track they recorded is called "Maynard & Waynard," and it's the second track on this CD. It's absolutely a wonderful track, and the CD is worth the price for this track alone. BUT ... what a great CD otherwise, too. Bergeron plays melodic solos, crisp, powerful high notes, and his band JAMS!!! Since there are no more new MF albums, thank goodness Wayne is still putting out this very similar material. Since Maynard's death I've heard the Bergeron band live twice, and one of those nights, at the Vibrato Grill, Wayne played this tune with Warren Leuning on Maynard's half of the duet, so this remains a popular tune in the Bergeron band book even now that Maynard has left us. Just before they played the duet, Wayne said some nice words about Maynard, then said, "... and I'm sure Maynard is looking up at us tonight (pause ... drum roll ... laughter from the musicians) ...." Simply ... a fantastic album. A MUST for every MF collector.

COPY #3. This one had a saw cut on the spine (a cut-out item). I removed the cut case and put everything into a brand new case. The only remaining sign of the saw cut is a little slit in the backing paper on the spine. The disc is MINT. Due to that tiny flaw, this one is just $8.00.
