Clifford Brown CDs with Maynard Ferguson

CLIFFORD BROWN, JAM SESSION (JAPANESE RELEASE) – Mercury/Polygram PHCE-3060

Here's the 1998 Japanese CD pressing of the original "Jam Session" recording from 8/14/54 which featured trumpeters Clifford Brown, Maynard Ferguson, and Clark Terry, as well as vocalist Dinah Washington and a host of other great west coast players. It comes in a little LP-like cardboard sleeve. It includes the tracks What Is This Thing Called Love, Darn That Dream, Move, My Funny Valentine, Don't Worry 'Bout Me, Bess, You Is My Woman Now, and It Might as Well be Spring. Obviously, this is a must-have for all serious MF collectors. It's fantastic stuff!
COPY #1. Just in, this is the first copy of this CD I've ever had for sale on the website. It's MINT, FACTORY SEALED, and includes the orginal obi strip. It's $25.00.
COPY #2. Wow, I found another copy of this great CD. It's used, but in like-new, NMINT+ condition, and contains the original Japanese insert. It's $20.00.

Here's a 1991 Italian CD pressing of various tracks from the 8/14/54 Jam Session which featured trumpeters Clifford Brown, Maynard Ferguson, and Clark Terry, as well as vocalist Dinah Washington and a host of other great west coast players. It includes the tracks What Is This Thing Called Love, I've Got You Under My Skin, Move, You Go (misspelled "Got" on the label) to My Head, Lover Come Back to Me, It Might as Well Be Spring, and I'll Remember April. Obviously, this is a must-have for all serious MF collectors. It's fantastic stuff!

Here's a 1998 Clifford Brown compilation CD on the Verve label. It includes the track "I've Got You Under My Skin" from the famous 8/14/54 jam session with Maynard and Dinah Washington. Besides this track, you really will enjoy Clifford's trumpet playing on the other tracks. He was probably the most lyrical jazz trumpet player of all time. Fantastic stuff!

He was probably the most lyrical jazz trumpet player of all time. Fantastic stuff!
