Bing Crosby LPs with Maynard Ferguson

BING CROSBY, BING SINGS WHILST BREGMAN SWINGS -- Verve MGV-2020

This LP is one of my absolute favorites. The song selection is sensational, with such classics as Mountain Greenery, Cheeck to Cheek, 'Deed I Do, Heat Wave, The Blue Room, Have You Met Miss Jones?, I've Got Five Dollars, Nice Work When You Can Get It, Jeepers Creepers, etc. Bing was absolutely at the prime of his career, and the arrangements by Buddy Bregman were killers! And Maynard can be heard at the top of it all, blowing the high notes on a number of passages. Even my 20-year-old SON thinks this is a "hip" record! I'll say no more! The 1956 version of this LP has "Verve Records, Inc." at the bottom of the label and lists for $40.00 in NMINT condition. The 1961 version has "MGM Records" instead, and lists for $15.00 in NMINT condition.
COPY #1. The cover on this copy shows just a little surface wear. It would be NMINT-, except someone wrote their name, lightly, in blue ink, at bottom right. This reduces the cover to just EX. The vinyl is the original, more expensive, "Verve Records, Inc." pressing. It has some light surface scratches which cause a little background noise on playback. It's EX-. Overall, this copy is in the EX- to EX range. Well above average, but with some small flaws. $7.00.
COPY #2. The cover on this one is a super clean and nice NMINT, with the only problem being a small scrape on the back cover near the left edge. The vinyl is the type with "Verve" on it (the more expensive pressing), and it's NMINT-. Really a super copy, in NMINT- to NMINT condition. It's yours for $12.00.

BING CROSBY, BING SINGS WHILST BREGMAN SWINGS (JAPANESE PRESSING) -- Polygram Records POJJ-1533

Here's the 1992 Japanese pressing of this exceptional LP on pure virgin vinyl. Fabulous! The cover is almost identical to the original. However, the vinyl is far superior. A real find!
COPY #1. The cover on this copy is an absolutely exceptional NMINT++!!! The vinyl is likewise a nice NMINT. Overall, it's NMINT+. And, it retains the original liner notes sheet inside the cover. A beautiful copy, it's $17.00.
