Jerry Lewis 45s with Maynard Ferguson

On 10/8/56, Buddy Bregman entered the studio in Los Angeles to conduct a session with comedian Jerry Lewis which would produce the LP "Jerry Lewis, Just Sings." It's just what it sounds like -- Jerry Lewis, just singing with the Bregman band -- no jokes at all. Knowing that Maynard frequently played studio sessions with Bregman, one of our fellow collectors asked Maynard last year if he played on this session. Maynard said, "I sure did. Lewis was telling really profane jokes all day long, making obscene gestures, and doing his best to keep the band in stitches. It's a wonder we ever got the recording session completed." Remarkably, this LP was a big hit. And from the LP, Decca put out this great little 45. Jerry Lewis isn't the greatest singer in the world, but he's not too bad, either. (The more I listen to it, the more I like it.) The Bregman band, with our man Maynard, however, is first rate!
COPY #1. The labels on this copy are like new. The vinyl does have some very fine surface scratches, which will not pop or click, but will cause a bit of background noise when played. Overall, this copy is VG+ to EX-. Just $4.00.
COPY #2. The labels on this copy are like new. The vinyl is very nice, with just a few surface scuffs. It's EX to EX+. A very nice copy, just $5.00.
COPY #3. The labels on this copy look super -- like new. The vinyl has quite a few very minor scuffs and light scratches. It's plays pretty well, but with some background noise in spots. It's VG+ to EX-. Just $4.00.
COPY #4. The labels on this one are ultra clean and nice!! The vinyl is EX++ to NMINT-. A great copy, it's yours for $8.00.

And besides the LP, this album was also issued as three separate 7" picture cover EPs -- Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. They're MUCH rarer than the LP. This is EP Part 2.
COPY #1. Just in, this is the first copy of this EP that I've had in stock for quite some time. The cover on this one has a small seam crack (about 1/2") at bottom center. Otherwise, it's quite clean and nice. I'd rate it as NMINT-. Both the disc labels and the vinyl are clean and nice, and the disc rates a NMINT-. Overall, a very nice NMINT- copy. This one is $12.00.

COPY #2. The cover on this one shows a bit of wear, mainly on the front, but still rates an EX+, as its clean and nice overall. The vinyl is EX. $7.00
