MF HORN: Maynard Ferguson's Life in Music, The Authorized Biography by Dr. William F. Lee III

Here's the 1997 definitive biography of MF by Dr. Lee. It's not only well-written, but contains family photos, a discography, a list of musicians playing in the various bands, etc. Very, very hard to find. Copies are listed on eBay for $200.00 or more.

MAYNARD! by Ralph Jungheim

This is an interesting book from 2009. It's a collection of 30 different interviews with industry insiders who played with, or knew Maynard during the many years of his career. Not the greatest book, but very interesting and worth a read.
