Jack Millman CDs with Maynard Ferguson

JACK MILLMAN, THE GOLDEN ERA OF WEST COAST JAZZ -- Groove Time Jazz GTJ 2003

Folks, here's a RARE CD!!! This one was released in 1995 by a small record store (Groove Time Jazz) in San Bernardino, California, and is now long out of print. It's a re-issue of the recordings on the Jack Millman Jazz Studio Four LP from 1955. The cover on the CD looks almost like the cover on the original LP. These session were recorded in 11/54, and features a guy named "Tiger" Brown (Maynard!!) on valve trombone and, of all things, claves!!! This CD is extremely rare and I seldom see a copy.

Here's a Spanish pressing of Jack Millman's Jazz Studio 4 album. It's on the Fresh Sound label, and was released in 2000. Maynard, of course, plays valve trombone and claves on this release.

VARIOUS ARTISTS, JAZZ STUDIO 3/4, COMPLETE SESSIONS (SPANISH RELEASE) -- Lone Hill Jazz LHJ10146

Here's a Spanish pressing of the old Jazz Studio 3 and Jazz Studio 4 LPs on a single CD. Of course, the Jazz Studio 4 was the Jack Millman album with MF. This CD was released in 2004, and is now increasingly hard to find. Maynard, of course, plays valve trombone and claves on this release.
COPY #1. Just in, here's another FACTORY SEALED COPY OF THIS GREAT CD. I can see through the shrink wrap that it has a crack in the front case. That's the only thing preventing me from describing it as MINT. If you'd like, I will remove it from the shrink wrap and put it in a brand new jewel case prior to shipping it off to you. It's $17.00.

JACK MILLMAN & HIS HOLLYWOOD ALLSTARS: CALIFORNIA JAZZ -- Catbone Music CB2009-2

This is a weird one. MF is credited with playing flugel horn on this release. I've listened to it extensively and some of the tracks seem to be the same as on the other CDs listed on this page but some are definitely different. It's reasonably priced, so grab one and help me figure out exactly where MF appears on this CD.
