SWF Big Band LPs with Maynard Ferguson
SWF BIG BAND, DIE SWF BIG BAND STORY (GERMAN PRESSING) -- SWF 107/108
Here's a two-LP set in a unique, triple gatefold cover, direct off the plane from Germany. Disc 1 is labeled 107, and disc 2 is labeled 108. I really don't know the full background on this, but apparently, while MF was wandering about Germany in 1968/1969 recording such discs as the Maynard & Gustav LP, he played a concert with the SWF Big Band, and it made it to tape. (If any of you German collectors can read the liner notes, and give me some more details, I'll be glad to share them with everyone.) There is one track with MF: Knarf. Apparently Rolf Hans Muller was conducting. I'm not able to find an exact date in the liner notes, so if anyone knows the recording date, let me know. I've seen these with red labels, and I've seen them with yellow labels. I've seen them with an enclosed German-language booklet, and I've seen them without it. A very rare and desirable LP! Grab one while you can.
COPY #1. This copy has an ultra clean and nice cover. The only problem is a tiny, almost invisible scratch on the front cover that is only visible in oblique light. The cover is NMINT+. The vinyl is MINT, never played. And the original German-language booklet is still inside the cover. The labels are yellow. $40.00.
COPY #2. This copy is unsealed, as it came from the factory, but it's MINT in every respect. Brand new. $50.00.
COPY #3. This copy is unsealed, as it came from the factory, but it's MINT in every respect. Brand new. $50.00.

COPY #6. This copy is unsealed, as it came from the factory, but it's MINT in every respect. Brand new. $50.00.
COPY #7 The cover on this one has a slight bend at the upper right tip, and some abrasion to the upper seam in the middle. Otherwise it's clean and nice -- NMINT. The vinyl is MINT, NEVER PLAYED, with yellow labels and the original booklet is included. Overall, it's NMINT+. $40.00.
