Bud Shank CDs with Maynard Ferguson

BUD SHANK AND TROMBONES, COOL FOOL (SPANISH RELEASE) –- Fresh Sound Records FSR-CD 507

Here's a relatively rare 2003 Spanish import CD with MF playing on the Bud Shank tunes Wailing Vessel, You Don't Know What Love Is, Sing Something Simple, Valve Head (sic), Cool Fool, Little Girl Blue, Mobile, and Wailing Vessel (alternate master). There are also 8 additional tracks on which MF doesn't perform. To my knowledge, this is the first time this material has been available on CD, and it's the first time the alternate master on Wailing Vessel has been released. Here's a relatively rare 2013 U.K. import 2-CD set of four of Bud Shank's classic albums, including Bud Shank and Three Trombones with MF. It's really nicely mastered, and if you don't have the LP, this is the next best thing. Very, very hard to find.
