On 7/14/53, Maynard recorded the soundtrack of the movie The Wild One with Leith Stevens and Shorty Rogers. He plays on the tracks Beetle, The Wild One, Scramble, and Chino. It was issued in several formats, including 45 EP, 10" LP, and 12" LP. This, of course, is the 10" LP. It's very, very hard to find, and lists for $50.00 in NMINT condition.

COPY #1. Just in, this is the first copy of this little LP I've had in stock for a very long time. They're not easy to find. The cover on this one has fairly clean and nice front paper -- just a little surface wear visible in places. There's a 1" seam crack at upper right and a 7" seam crack at lower right. (I will repair these for you if you wish prior to shipping.) There is significant toning on the back cover. So this is just average, or slightly below average cover, and I'm going to rate it as VG-. The labels on the disc are clean and nice, but the vinyl itself has a number of light surface scratches that cause some definite noise on playback. I'd call the disc VG+ -- just a shade better than average. Overall, this is just an average, VG copy. It's yours for $8.00.
