The first, and only change,
of the M-body cars was made in 1980. The rear roof line became steeper
and the body lines became sharper. The LeBaron received a front end very
similar to the familiar Fifth Avenue one. The tail lights on the LeBaron
are new for this year aswell, but they only lasted until 1982 when the
Dodge Diplomat Lights were carried over.
A 1980 LeBaron coupe. The
rearview mirrors on the doors are different than the regular ones aswell.
A small number of these coupes also came with a T-top roof, some even had
a slap-stick shift for the automatic transmission on the floor aswell!
Another coupe. This one
appears to be a base model with no passenger side mirror.
The rear of the LeBaron wagon
was carried over from the previous style aswell, keeping it's tail lights,
but receiving the re-styled front end. This one os another base model,
just about all LeBaron wagons came with wood-grain trim. Like the last,
this one also lacks the passenger side mirror.
A rather unique LeBaron.
