Body Code Plate Interpretation

1981 thru 1989

Charts and diagram from the Chrysler Factory Service Manuals. There seem to be some errors in the decoding process, an error in the first year Chrysler published this info and has been carried over ever since (proof is that both the image and chart appear in the '89 manual yet the decoding doesn't match!). Click here for decoding earlier years (77 thru 81).
